Con Dao Island - the Most Beautiful Beach in Vietnam

Image
After 13 days of nonstop traveling, I found myself alone on Con Sao Island part of the Con Dao Islands. Lush green mountains, amazing empty roads for riding, and of course, pristine waters!!! This island is home to 6,000 residents and has the most spectacular beach scenery I've ever seen. I rented a motorbike for the morning and afternoon and rode towards the southern part of the Island and stopped at various points that looked beautiful. Even though I brought along a tripod, I actually only used found objects like route markers and rocks and trees as tripods. This made me even more aware of my surroundings and offered some shots. I had a great time making this video, I hope you guys enjoy it. A lot more Con Dao videos coming up. Stay tuned and be sure to subscribe. -------------------------------------------------- About Me: I'm Kyle Le and I live, travel, and eat in Vietnam and many Asian countries. Traveling Ninh Binh - North Vietnam Adventures Today

Image
Traveling North Vietnam can be an intimidating thing to some, especially to all the American Viet kieus, but I highly recommend visiting neighboring cities from Hanoi, such as Ninh Binh. To get to Ninh Binh from Hanoi, just go to the Hanoi Bus Station and take a bus south to Ninh Binh, which is about three hours or so away. Then you can find a taxi and go to your hotel, which Ninh Binh is full of now. This is my third return trip to Ninh Binh and it still has a lot of tourist places of interests I haven't been able to see. In fact, this city is one of my favorites in all of North Vietnam. The scenery, the food, the landscape, and the experiences are plentiful here. You can enjoy spectacular limestone mountains at Tam Coc, sample some mountain goat meat, visit the Hang Mua, numerous caves, temples, ancient capital emperor homes, stone churches, and so much more from this special city that is definitely worth a visit. The goat meat restaurant is located across fr

Cao Bang - the most beautiful place in the North Vietnam

Image
Traveling Far North Vietnam continues with Cao Bang Province's majestic Ban Gioc Waterfalls and one of my favorite caves called Nguom Ngao. Leaving Meo Vac by private car and arriving six hours later to Cao Bang, we didn't have much time to spare. We dropped our bags off at the hotel and got another car to drive us three hours to the caves and the waterfalls which are minutes from each other. I have been dreaming of this moment for a long time. This was one of my most highly anticipated places left in Vietnam to visit. I was in awe at just how natural the cave was without anything too touristy or colorful. It felt like a real dark cave and not an amusement park. The waterfalls are actually used as a natural border with China. Chinese tourists can be seen just across the waterway. At the end of the night we wrapped things up with some northern pho. It lay concealed for many years, however, until the site was discovered by Frenchman Henri Mahout in 1860. The central complex, Angkor Wat, features an elaborate, unmortared 66-metre (215-foot) central tower surrounded by four smaller towers. Stretching around the outside of the temple complex is an 800m-long (2625ft) bas-relief, the longest in the world. This is Cambodia's most iconic sight, and particularly popular at s

Ho Chi Minh City Vacation Travel Guide

Ho Chi Minh City, on the southern tip of Vietnam, is one of South East Asia’s emerging boom cities. Still affectionately known by many as Saigon, this is Vietnam’s largest city and its economic engine room. Ho Chi Minh City has an irrepressible soul and an entrepreneurial energy that hums day and night. Despite almost a century of colonialism and brutal conflict, today this city is renowned for its warm hospitality, which even extends to former foes. A youthful enthusiasm flows through this city, just like the stream of scooters, motorbikes and cars that flow endlessly through its chaotic streets. In Ho Chi Minh City, it feels as though the future has arrived… and yet the past is never far away. Wide boulevards built during the French colonial era are lined with cutting edge skyscrapers, while jasmine scented temples gently rub shoulders with chic rooftop bars More than 9 million people call Ho Chi Minh City home and the dynamic energy of its streets is part o

Mekong River Cruises - Mekong River Tours

Mekong River Cruises HD, Mekong River Tours, Mekong River Travel Videos,Travel Guides "Subscribe" http://goo.gl/6Pmn6Y The Mekong rises as the Lancang (Lancang) in the "Three Rivers Area" on the Tibetan Plateau in the Sanjiangyuan National Nature Reserve; the reserve protects the headwaters of, from north to south, the Yellow (Huang He), the Yangtze and the Mekong Rivers.[3] It flows southeast through Yunnan Province, and then through the Three Parallel Rivers Area in the Hengduan Mountains, along with the Yangtze to its north and the Salween River (Nujiang in Chinese) to its south. The Mekong then meets the tripoint of China, Burma (Myanmar) and Laos. From there it flows southwest and forms the border of Burma and Laos for about 100 kilometres (62 mi) until it arrives at the tripoint of Burma, Laos, and Thailand. This is also the point of confluence between the Ruak River (which follows the Thai-Burma border) and the Mekong. The area of this

Mekong River Cruise Vietnam & Cambodia with Toum Tiou Boat

Image
Built in the traditional style, the Toum Tiou was christened in 2002 on the river at Phnom Penh (See Vietnam Cambodia Tour Package ), the first Cambodian cruise boat with international standard accommodation. Fully-paneled in wood, with charm and comfort in mind, we designed it in keeping with the local style. Modestly sized and with the safety of a steel hull, its low draught makes it possible for the boat to access the smallest of villages. With the tasteful decoration of a bygone era, it has 10 cozy double cabins with private shower, a large lounge area, a panoramic viewing space to the front, a half-covered bar-restaurant to the rear and a roof patio. Air conditioning, hi-fi system and library are provided. The captain, boat hands, hostesses, cooks and boat master are quiet and insonspicuous in the performance of their duties. This traditional locally built boat started out as a freighter with a metal hull and a capacity of 150 tons, with two large but low-ceiling

Pandaw River Cruises in Burma and Mekong

Image
A Pandaw river expedition is not like an ocean going cruise. There is no dressing up for dinner and no 'captain's table'. The atmosphere on board is very friendly and informal, more like a party on a private yacht than a cruise ship. Nearly everything is included in the price and there are no hidden extras for excursions.. Even your drinks are included in the price of your ticket. There is an incredibly high level of personal service and care aboard, with a crew passenger ratio of 1:2. For these reasons passengers keep coming back and exploring more of a lost South-East Asia. Farmers go up the river in their sampans to sell their goods on the river in the floating markets. Mrs Lee insisted to show us a floating market at dawn. The activity at this time is impressive, clients navigate with their boats between sampans selling fruits and vegetables, one can also stop on a boat restaurant while residents wash their clothes directly in the river. Mrs Lee brought us to a market and then invited us to have lunch at her parents' place who leave in a house opened on a tributary stream of the Mekong Delta. We ate lemon grass chicken and a hot

Ha Long Bay on Dragon's Pearl

Image
We couldn't believe the CRAZY level of positive reviews for Indochina Junk company without seeing it for ourselves. For those of you looking to cruise Ha Long Bay (Halong Bay), we highly recommend the Dragon's Pearl. It really is that good. This video shows what you can expect from the 2 day / 1 night cruise package, based on our experience with the same package. We went in early Oct. I left out the room. It was big enough, with a really nice bathroom - for a small boat. Transport both ways from Hanoi was quick and in a modern van with AC and a skilled driver. If you were staying in the same Hanoi hotel before and after your cruise, I would recommend arranging to leave some of your luggage there - rather than drag it all to the boat and back. We don't normally "splurge" for items like this and I'm glad we did. I know all of travel is a splurge really. But it really feels like you get exactly your money's worth on The Dragon's Pearl.

Singapore Vacation Travel Guide

Small and heavily populated, Singapore is an easy place to explore; nothing in the city is more than an hour from the business district. Thanks to modern construction and outstanding architecture, Singapore is rapidly becoming a powerhouse trade city, but it maintains ties to its Asian roots through traditional temples and many cultural hotspots, like Little India and Kampong Glam. Your Singapore tour must include the Botanical Gardens and Orchid Gardens, both beautiful and notable places to visit. If you’re a fan of exotic animals, stop by the Singapore Zoo and check in with its 300-plus species that take up residence there. You can also take a “bumboat” from Changi Beach to Pulau Ubin, set away from the bustling city, and delight in its quiet mangroves. No Singapore sightseeing is complete without a visit to Marina Bay, a glowing, high-tech vision of the future, or Orchard Road, which boasts enough shopping to keep you occupied for several rainy afternoons.
